Job Summary:

The Monitor Technician performs the monitoring functions of the department and maintains the monitoring equipment. In this role, the Monitor Tech observes video camera on selected patients based upon physician orders.

• You will provide continuous observation of telemetry monitors.
• Recognizing any arrhythmias is core to your role as a Monitor Tech.
• You must document monitor tracing and process orders accurately
• Your role will communicate findings to nursing staff and physicians on a regular basis and convey STAT orders to appropriate personnel immediately.
• You will maintain patient charts.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an arrhythmia interpretation examination upon hire.
• Successful completion of basic EKG course within 6 months
