Obtain medical histories when necessary.

Perform exams by virtual care (within established protocol).

Prescribe or recommend medications for prescription for medications and treatment (within protocol guidelines).

Promote positive lifestyle habits to all patients through education and counseling.

Assure charts are signed off by the doctor within 7 days.

Maintain patient’s privacy and confidentiality.

Make follow up calls to check patients progress.

Work closely with other staff to assure patient flow is efficient.

Consult with doctor regarding patient symptoms to assure proper diagnosis and plan of treatment.

Performs other duties as assigned

QualificationsRequired Education and Experience

Master’s degree in nursing (NP) or Graduate of a Physician Assistant training Program (PA)

3-5 years clinical practice in an acute care setting required.

1-2 years of recent work experience as an PA, NP or RN in an

Emergency Department, Urgent Care, or performing patient triage services, preferred

Previous experience performing virtual care consults, especially virtual triage, strongly preferred

Required Licensure and Certification

TN State PA License, required (PA)

GA State PA License, preferred (PA)

OR

Licensed as an RN in the state of TN/GA (NP)

Licensed as a CRNP in state of TN, required (NP)

Licensed as a CRNP in the state of GA, preferred (NP)

BLS or ACLS required (Applies to NP and PA)

Certificate of fitness through American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (NP)
