Who knows where our shared journey will take you?As a 1st Shift Dock Lead at Siemens, your main responsibility will be to oversee and manage the dock operations during the first shift. You will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the activities of the dock personnel, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.We are looking for an Outbound Dock Lead available to work 1 st shift. This position will be based at our Memphis Distribution Center in Southaven, MS.Role Responsibilities
Supervising dock operations: You will oversee the day-to-day activities at the dock, ensuring that all tasks are carried out efficiently and in a timely manner. This may include receiving and inspecting incoming shipments, organizing and allocating dock space, and coordinating outbound shipments.
Managing dock personnel: You will be responsible for supervising and directing a team of dock workers. This includes assigning tasks, providing guidance and training, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Ensuring compliance: You will ensure that all dock operations comply with relevant regulations and company policies. This may include maintaining accurate records, verifying proper documentation for inbound and outbound shipments, and implementing safety measures.
Inventory management: You may be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting periodic stock checks, and coordinating with other departments to manage inventory levels and ensure availability of required materials.
Communication and coordination: You will act as a liaison between the dock personnel, management, and other departments within the organization. Effective communication and coordination skills are crucial to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues or concerns that may arise.
Continuous improvement: As a dock lead, you will be expected to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement them to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize overall dock operations.

High school diploma or equivalent
Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and procedures.
Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with different stakeholders.
Proficiency in computer applications and inventory management software.
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
Further education or relevant certifications may be preferred.
Previous experience in dock operations, logistics, or a related field is highly desirable.

The starting hourly pay rate for this position is $18.50. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
