We are seeking a Patient Saftey Attendant /Sitter for our facility to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Job Summary:

• You will demonstrate competencies to serve as PSA’s for monitoring and observation of suicidal patients and others with behavioral health needs. Also patients that may be confused and or at risk for falls.
• You will provide sensitivity and respect to the patient, family or significant other.
• You will provide direct one to one observation and monitor the patient in accordance with hospital policy and departmental guidelines to ensure safety and well-being. Which may include video monitoring.
• You will provide appropriate interaction/communication with their assigned patients and redirect any inappropriate behavior.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required within 30 days of hire date
• Preferred hospital/EMS experience
• Preferred behavioral health experience
