We are seeking an experienced Powerhouse Engineer to join a leading industrial company to develop a new powerhouse equipment in collaboration with engineers and other plant departments, ensuring that all projects meet the plant requirements.
Responsibilities:- Develop specifications and bid documents for new powerhouse equipment and collaborate with other engineers to ensure projects meet plant requirements
- Manage engineering and installation contractors, track project progress, and prepare regular status reports
- Serve as a Center of Excellence to plants in all aspects of Powerhouse engineering and assist in troubleshooting when called upon
- Expand company's knowledge base and become the corporate subject matter expert
- Counsel and mentor junior engineers to help build powerhouse bench strength
- Act as a champion to meet all project KPIs and demonstrate ownership for assigned projects
- Bachelor s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Controls)
- Minimum of 8 years of experience with industrial powerhouse systems, including at least 3 of the following systems: energy monitoring, HVAC systems and industrial ventilation, steam and high-pressure hot water systems, compressed air generation, cooling and chilled water systems, fire suppression systems, piping design, vacuum systems, and hydraulic power systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including MS Project
- Experience with CAD applications
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (nominally at 50%, with blocks of time at higher and lower percentages)
- 12 years of experience with industrial powerhouse systems, including each of the following: energy monitoring, HVAC systems and industrial ventilation, steam and high-pressure hot water systems, compressed air generation, cooling and chilled water systems, fire suppression systems, piping design, vacuum systems, and hydraulic power systems
- Experience with Rockwell-based process controls, instrumentation, VFDs, and SCADA systems
- Experience with the operation of medium and low voltage switchgear
- Experience with tire manufacturing or rubber processing (nice-to-have)
