The Project Assistant/Lab Technician will coordinate the preparation and shipping of media and labeled bottles for source and ambient air sampling as assigned.  The Project Assistant will perform some media preparation duties in conjunction with Project Managers and laboratory personnel.  Will also be responsible for maintaining inventory of sampling supplies. May include other clerical and organizational duties for Project Management.  When needed, they will assist Project Management or Sample Management in greeting clients, sorting and logging in samples, especially as relates to air sampling.  All duties will be subject to Eurofins’ Quality Assurance programs and Standard Operating Procedures.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Demonstrate and promote the company visionShow regular attendance and punctualityPerform job functions in compliance with Eurofins Environment Testing’s EHS and QA standardsApply GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriateWork under close supervision using routine and standard proceduresTake responsibility for general housekeeping in group’s work areaLearn to use the Laboratory Information Management System to access project information, log in samples, record essential data and information, and check project status.Perform tasks that support all project management, with an emphasis on Source Air projects. These include:Facilitate Project Management, assisting project managers at every step in the project development and execution processPrepare Project Documents as needed, including Master Sample Lists, Requests for Analysis Forms, Chain of Custody Forms, Media Request Forms, Invoices and similar documentationOrganize and maintain inventories of needed sampling materials and suppliesPrepare labelled bottles for specific projectsPrepare sample media as assignedCoordinate preparation of sample media by other laboratory personnelPack and ship sample containers and media as requiredGreet samples on arrival, organize and inventory samples for log-inLog-in samples to Laboratory Information Management SystemStore samples properly with the correct storage conditionsConduct all activities in a safe and efficient mannerPerform other duties as assigned The successful candidate will demonstrate the willingness and ability to become trained and competent in the use of word processing software, spreadsheets and laboratory data management systems to prepare documentation and supplies for projects to be provided to clients, and assist in other project management activities as needed.  Work SchedulesWork schedules are generally Monday - Friday 8 AM to 4:30 PM with a half hour lunch break.  Overtime is offered and may be expected when needed to meet work load demands.
