CereCore is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) Healthcare. CereCore is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team in Nashville, TN. This individual will work on-site at one of the nation's leading providers of healthcare services, HCA Healthcare.The QA Engineer oversees all aspects of application testing activities for a given effort. The QA Engineer may have to build the automated test cases using the automation framework for a given project effort. This role will lead high-level test design and strategies within the project team(s).Responsibilities: - Build new automation test scripts using object oriented programing languages like C#, Java, or Python
- Build and execute database queries using SQL
- Build web UI automation using Cucumber, etc.
- Build API and database tests using C#, Java, or Python
- Maintain and debug existing automated test scripts
- Schedule daily test execution using CI/CD tool like Jenkins
- Follow established automation and performance testing practices
- Collaborate with the scrum team members to develop Agile testing strategies that address areas such as database impacts, functional software use cases, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability
- Help the team prevent defects by baking in quality practices early in the planning and development phases
- Oversee defect discovery, prevention and tracking with the scrum team
- Execute Manual testing when automation may not be ideal
Position Requirements:- 1+ years of OOP experience with languages-C#, Java, Python, etc.
- 1+ years of software QA or development experience
- Familiarity with the automation tool like Cucumber, selenium, etc.
- Familiarity with source code repository like GIT, TFS or subversion
- Experience creating and executing SQL queries
- Knowledge of APIs
- Experience with tools like ALM, Rally, JIRA, etc.
