JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position’s Contributions to Work GroupLightning Developer with security focused role on the Salesforce CRM Deployment team within the Application Division in IS. This role will be responsible for developing secure solutions within our Salesforce org. Will be an integrated member of team, partnering for best practices and remediation development.An experienced Salesforce coding skillset expected to span across Salesforce Sales, Service, & Experience clouds, dedicated to remediation of security findings within Lightning environment.Will serve as a SME point of contact to provide expertise on remediation within code and assist to identify potential points of impact. This resource will not hold on-call or general project responsibilities to allow full dedication of coding expertise related to security responses.

An excerpt from the Work Director regarding candidates from the previous requisition: The main thing we encountered in the previous requisition in the technical screening portion of the interviews, is candidates listing in their resumes that they had a lot of exposure to Lightning development, however they couldn’t pass novice questions on the fly. We are expecting very proficient developers. If possible, please screen candidates for technical abilities prior to submission. An actual test administered would be best. See note in education

Typical DayUnderstand SOX and Caterpillar security protocols and develop or support in-house and purchased application solutions to maintain compliance. Work with minimal supervision in developing solutions to customer related requests and/or system problems.

Education Requirements:A 4-year college or university degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study Equivalent. Experience may be substituted for education. Required: A minimum 8-10 years enterprise technology experience without degree. 4 years experience with 4 year college degree.

Required: Salesforce Certified - Platform Developer II. Strong source code and deployment management skills.Recommended: If you have the means to issue your candidates a test that covers knowledge of Salesforce development, please do so. Sales, Service, and Experience cloud security configurations will be focus. These results can be attached with the resume. Candidates with testing results will be given priority.

Technical Skills

Required: 2+yr experience in Lightning web components. Experience developing Javascript, Apex, SOQL, Lightning configuration.Nice to have: Additional SF Certifications, SOX compliance familiarity, secure development experience.
