LaSalle Network is currently working alongside with a reputable healthcare company based in Chattanooga, TN that is currently seeking to add a Security Engineer to their team. This individual will hold the main responsibility of running SOC2 audits as well as establishing and maintaining an Information Security and Risk Management program (corporate-wide), to ensure that information assets are protected. This position is a full-time opportunity and primarily remote with the expectation this individual will work onsite five days a month. Security Engineer Responsibilities:- Ensure system security works; improve both network and server efficiency by training users and with promoting security awareness
- Carry out risk assessments and execute data processing system tests to ensure proper functioning of data processing activities and security measures
- Identify, evaluate and report on potential risks to meet compliance and regulatory requirements
- Align with and support the enterprise's risk posture
- Consistent protection of all company data across all platforms while being attentive to healthcare industry security rules
Security Engineer Requirements:- Experience with SOC2 (Security Organizational Controls) certification audits or equivalent (e.g., HIPPAA, PCI) is a must
- High level understanding of computer programming, risk management and with computer-related systems (firewalls, password protection/authentication, and site-specific controls and physical access to computers)
- Relevant certifications in the information security field (i.e., CEH, CISSP, CISA, CISM, etc.) are strongly preferred
- Ability to work well independently/with little direction
