AECOM is seeking a highly talented Senior Geotechnical Dam Safety Engineer to join the East Region Dams Team. This position will support a variety Dam Safety Engineering projects across the East Region.  The successful candidate will join the ENR consistently ranked #1 Dams and Reservoirs firm and have access to exciting career advancement opportunities.  This position will report to one of the AECOM offices in the East Region including but not limited to Atlanta, Georgia; Buffalo, New York; Conshohocken, Pennsylvania; Germantown, Maryland; Franklin Tennessee; or Tampa, Florida.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Perform the roles of a Project Manager such as maintaining client relationships, contracting, project planning and execution, financial management, technical management, change management and project team management.Provide technical support for projects including seepage and slope stability analyses, filter and drain design, Potential Failure Mode Analyses, Semi-Quantitative Risk Assessments, site inspection, construction observation, and regulatory compliance activities associated with a variety of hydraulic structures. Plan, manage, and lead field investigations for various hydraulic structures and embankments (soil drilling, rock coring, concrete coring, in-situ testing, test pits, etc.).Prepare and perform quality reviews of other Engineer's work on deliverables such design calculations, engineering reports, construction drawings, and technical specifications.Perform engineering estimates for cost and project schedules.Work with multi-disciplinary teams on a variety of Dam Safety Engineering projects.Responsible for quality control.Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff.Develop engineering proposals.Flexibility and willingness to travel for project work part time as needed.
