The TEN Credit Union is looking for a skilledService Transaction Specialist.The Service Transaction Specialist is a high-contact position requiring the ability to communicate face-to-face effectively with prospective/current members and to represent the credit union positively and professionally.This position will be at our Rivergate Branch.Hours are Monday-Thursday: 8:30am-5:00pm; Friday: 8:30am-6:00pm.Compensation:$18/hourDay-to-Day Job Duties:Assisting members on how to use video banking technology and troubleshooting when necessary. Emphasis is placed on establishing rapport with the members by smiling, greeting the member by name, and offering assistance. Maintain awareness of all current rates and marketing promotions. Monitor the lobby and teller-line traffic to ensure that members are serviced in a timely and efficient manner without excessive wait time. Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous service to meet members' needs. Ensures that all marketing materials are up-to-date and displayed in heavy traffic areas. Will be thoroughly trained in the area of teller work and will be required to cover and serve as a backup to the teller line as needed. Perform all duties in compliance with applicable regulations, particularly relating to new accounts, Bank Secrecy, and security issues.TENCU exists to care for the lives of our employees, members, families, and communities. High School Diploma or equivalent required
One year of experience in the hospitality/retail/financial industry is highly desirable.
Experience working in a financial industry preferred.
REQUIREMENTS
Regular and reliable attendance; accuracy and attention to detail.
Thorough knowledge and observance of Credit Union policies and procedures, of loan documentation and credit-granting criteria, interest rates, and payrolls.
Ability to assist members in person professionally and efficiently; capable of working with frequent change.
Ability to communicate effectively in English orally and in writing; communication skills in other languages are also desirable.
Good math and computer skills are strongly desired.
Ability to learn and follow federal regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods.
Ability to use a computer for long periods.
Ability to work in a non-smoking environment.
