NPosition Type ManagementJob OverviewAs a Software Engineer - Devops at Marriott, you will be developing Devops frameworks for state-of-the-art Web platforms. You will help build the pipelines for the next-generation hospitality web Platforms. You will work with product owners, UX, back-end engineers, and QA engineers to build end-to-end automation using CI/CD pipeline, help define release strategy, build and maintain test harnesses, build reporting workflow for integration and quality efforts etc.Key Responsibilities

Thorough understanding of SDLC, Automation tools and framework, CI/CD pipelines.

Design, develop and implement software integrations based on requirements.

Serve as a source of technical expertise to all product teams.

Recommend and maintain technical design methodologies, troubleshooting, processes, and standards!

Proactively identifying and resolving key technical issues

Gather and analyze metrics from operating systems as well as applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding.

Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures.

Participate in platform management, capacity planning, and system design

Balance feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service-level objectives

Stay up to date with the latest Devops technologies and best practices.

Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers.

Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and clients.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science or related discipline

3+ years of professional experience in Devops and DevSecops implementations

Experience with CI/CD and project management tools (e.g. Git, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, Artifactory, etc.)

Create plug-and-play/reusable solutions and patterns for CICD pipelines.

Create, develop, and implement automation and system integration for various build platforms.

Publish and disseminate DevOps and DevSecOps best practices, patterns, and solutions

Build or maintain CICD building blocks and shared libraries proactively for app and development teams to enable quicker build and deployment.

Design action plans to address CICD platform/tools/solutions’ shortcomings and difficulties.

Experience with configuration management and deployment automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Terraform, etc.

Experience in System Testing and Building Automation Tools

Experience with web technologies (REST, JSON etc.)

Experience with container technologies (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker, etc.)

Experience with both private and public cloud infrastructure and interfacing programmatically through APIs

A proactive approach to identifying problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Experience with monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Splunk, et al.

Proven ability to work in an Agile development environment.

In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus.
