- Ensuring effective operation of core network equipment
- Identifying opportunities for optimizations and designing appropriate solutions
- Developing the roadmap for West Fraser’s future network state
- Design and implement our DMZ IT/OT infrastructure.
- Collaborate with management and IT department resources to assess near and long-term network capacity needs.
- Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.
- Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry.
- As directed, work with and manage vendors and contractors.

- Must be able to work well in an environment that can present rapidly developing and evolving situations requiring reactive remediation or containment strategies.
- Must be able to quickly identify the scope and impact of incidents on the organization at both the enterprise and divisional levels to determine an appropriate response.
- Knows their OSI fundamentals like the back of their hand.
- A foundational understanding of SDWAN
- Routing expertise
- Experience designing and working with HA networks.
- Has experience with Fortinet technology.
- Has experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
- Knowledge of HP Aruba technologies, including ClearPass and AirWave
- Enterprise grade network certifications e.g., NSE5/CCNP/PCNSE
- Has a clear passion for networking and is looking for an opportunity to spearhead the future direction of a large enterprise network

- Have a valid driver’s license.
- Degree in computer science, electronic engineering, or related field
