Supplier Quality Engineering Manager - Contract Manufacturing (Memphis, TN, Boulder, CO, Remote within the US, Ireland, Israel, or Costa Rica)Location:Boulder, Colorado, United StatesRequisition #:21000RB2Post Date:8 hours agoCareers That Change LivesThis exciting role sits in the MICD Operations Network and will lead a Supplier Quality Engineers to drive supplier management oversight of contract manufacturers (CMs) and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in the early phase of manufacturing. The group is responsible for closely monitoring the manufacturing capability of our external manufacturers to ensure manufacturing risk are identified and mitigated before transition the product to full release product management. The team also oversee CM and OEM release product responsibility for the Biologics product portfolio. The role is a remote or hybrid role.A Day in the LifeResponsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.Develop a high performing organization capable of successfully implementing company policies and strategies through effective hiring, performance management, and by assuring that department training needs are identified, fulfilled, and maintained

Ensure the implementation and sustainability of quality engineering principles within the team to drive methodical and process-based approaches to problem solving, including six sigma methodology, lean principles, advanced statistics, DRM, and other proven techniques

Manage functional resources and cost center to support annual operating plan

Oversee and drive supplier performance as measured by key performance indicators and scorecards

Work directly with team and suppliers to resolve quality issues. Lead improvement actions resulting from nonconformances - NCMRs and SCAPAs

Responsible for supplier change management - focal point to address change requirements and facilitate effective and timely changes

Manage and lead supplier related disruptions to restore product availability

Collaborate with cross functional teams and leaders to drive supplier performance, adherence to purchasing controls, and strategic projects; specifically with operations, operations quality, design, operating unit quality, contract manufacturing, supplier management, and regulatory

Adhere to the Supplier Quality RACI, coach functions to ensure understanding.

Must Have: Minimum RequirementsTo be considered for this role, please ensure the minimum requirements are evident on your resume.Bachelors degree in engineering, science or technical field with 5+ years of work experience in Engineering, Quality, and/or experience in a regulated industry

OR Advanced degree in engineering, science or technical field with 3+ years of work experience in Engineering, Quality, and/or experience in a regulated industry.

Nice to HaveMechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Biomedical Engineering degree

Medical device functional management experience

Demonstrated influence management and critical thinking

Ability to work collaboratively to achieve objectives

Strong written and oral communication skills

Six Sigma and/or DRM certified (greenbelt, blackbelt)

Advanced degree in engineering, science, or technical field
