Description The System Administrator is responsible for the overall health, security, and performance of our IT infrastructure. This role involves a wide range of tasks, from server administration and network management to security implementation and user support. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with strong technical skills and a passion for technology.Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain servers (physical and virtual)

Monitor server performance and resource utilization

Perform regular system updates and security patches

Troubleshoot server-related issues and implement solutions

Configure and maintain network devices (routers, switches, firewalls)

Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues

Implement network security measures, such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems

Enforce security policies and procedures

Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments

Implement security measures to protect sensitive data

Provide technical support to users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues

Assist with user account management and access control

Train users on new technologies and software

Implement and maintain backup and recovery procedures

Test backup and recovery processes regularly

Restore data as needed

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

3+ years of experience as a System Administrator

Strong knowledge of server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux)

Experience with network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls)

Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash)

Understanding of security best practices

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., MCSA, CCNA)

Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)

Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure)

Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
