Description We are in search of a meticulous Tax Preparer to join our client's team in Seymour, Tennessee. As a Tax Preparer, your main role will be to manage various tax returns, assist business owners, and ensure excellent customer service. You will also have the important task of maintaining accurate and thorough records of all transactions.Responsibilities Preparation and filing of a variety of tax returns, including those for individuals, self-employed persons, and businesses. Management of out-of-state tax returns when necessary. Support to business owners through assistance with Schedule C and other related tax documents. Preparation and filing of year-end W2s for employees as needed. Liaising with clients to collect all necessary information and answer their queries to ensure a smooth tax return process. Utilize various tax software for tax form preparation. Maintain high levels of customer service to address the clients' queries and concerns effectively. Monitor and update accounting software systems regularly. Perform data entry tasks related to tax preparation. Handle multi-state tax returns when required. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity with a possible extension.Please apply and contact Kelly Fellows for immediate consideration at 865-370-2219Requirements Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Tax Preparer or in a similar role. Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is necessary. Familiarity with all Accounting Functions, including but not limited to, preparing and submitting W2 forms. Strong customer service skills are essential, as the role involves interacting with clients. Experience in data entry with a high level of accuracy is required. Knowledge of Federal Income Tax laws and regulations is a must. Experience in preparing Individual Tax Returns is required. Must be capable of handling Multi-state Tax Returns. Adherence to all federal, state, and local laws regarding taxes and financial reporting. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure during tax season. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary. Must possess a strong ethical standard and a high level of integrity. A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is necessary. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
