Participate in discovery and project chartering activities to understand the business objectives for analyzing technical gaps and outlining resource requirements including: infrastructure needs, new product or technology solution, sequency of delivery, and development estimates and skillsets. Provide management and respective team members with the documented results of the analysis in composition of business decisions to proceed with prioritization and long term IS delivery plans.Primarily attributed to large, high-complexity projects, participate in business requirements sessions or coordinate upon conclusion of requirements finalization to acquire a comprehensive understanding. Traceable to business requirements, acquire and analyze current state architecture and system design to develop technical design documentation representing target state application, data, and technical architecture. This includes code architecture, data models, and integration components. Participate in product and technological elicitation, analysis, and provide recommendations where applicable in the target state solution architecture. Continuously maintain an understanding of current products,technologies, and respective benefits for utilization in design and solution decisions.From technical design documentation, create and maintain a technical implementation plan including work breakdown structure, sequence, estimated duration, and skillsets. Presents technical implementation plans to IS management for resource assignments and release planning. Upon resource assignment, presents implementation plan to the project team for execution. During implementation, provides consult to development team regarding technical design plans and issues realized for resolution.Creates and maintains a current, compressive library of system architecture references for onboarding, knowledge management, and auditability. This includes: Data models and dictionaries Application architectural components, purpose, and standards Technology products’ inventory, purpose and standards Enterprise and external integration models Maintenance and licensing update schedulesUnderstands and analyzes the current application and technical architectural state for identifying ongoing performance,maintenance, reliability, security, and availability risks. Documents and highlights risks for remediation prioritization and implementation planning.Knowledge and Skills Graduation from college or university with a bachelor's degree and ten years of professional level experience in systems analysis, application design, and software development of business information systems Preferred Certifications: AWS Certified Solution Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Cloud Solutions Architect Certification, Red Hat Certified Architect, Open Group TOGAF 9 Certification, Open Group Certified Architect (Open CA).
