is hiring two

Technical Graphics Specialists (Sr. Pre-Media Specialist)to contribute to ourLightning Sourceteam inLaVergne, TNjust outside Nashville. The Sr. Pre-Media Specialist provides technical assistance to internal associates within the Client Services and Sales teams, as well as external customers, to facilitate the integration of publisher data and content at LSI. They are responsible for manipulating and testing data files to ensure Ingram compliance; and communicates to data suppliers any issues or concerns with their data and demonstrates the file adjustment to the customer.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor or Associate Degree or directly related year for year experience
  • 3 years using current InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat programs, or other Mac based graphic design software, preferably in a Graphic Arts/digital print production environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Respondto inquiries – both internal and external - via phone and/or email, regarding technical questions or issues related to content submission and compliance.
  • Assistcustomers with file format set up and submission by providing step-by-step instructions to customers regarding file submissions via web or ftp site.
  • Providefile review, analysis and feedback to customers to ensure the successful submission of content.
  • Reviewand processtest files from publishers to generate samples for customer review and discussion.
  • Providedirection regarding cover template layout, cover template generator and any other file submission processes or procedures.
  • Assistwith the design and layout of both internal and external LSI documentation.
  • Use Adobe Acrobat Professional, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Word as well as other software and hardware, to achieve desired results in a timely manner in accordance with publisher specifications and the LSI operating manual.
  • Preparedigital interiors and covers using client supplied files in formats including PDF, Photoshop, InDesign and other programs, as needed, in accordance with publisher specifications and the LSI operating manual and templates.
  • Retrieve resubmitted interior files to make specified corrections.
  • Communicatewith Publishers and Client Service Coordinators to resolve issues.
  • Offercreative solutions to technical issues/challenges that may arise as a result of content submissions.
