One of our clients in Brentwood, Tennessee is looking for a Technical Writer with the following skills and experience: Required Skills:- 5 or more years of experience as a Technical Writer
- In depth experience with Microsoft Office Suite tools (Word and Visio specifically)
- Ability to work across divisions in a company's organization
- Past experience creating user guides, technical,manuals, and validation documents
- Ability to gather specific technical requirements surrounding an application and/or system
- Past project experience documenting both existing systems through future state of the same systems
- Past project experience with documenting microservices
Desired Skills: - Azure cloud experience
- Experience gathering function requirement
Description of Role/Responsibilities:This person will be joining a large program team that has been focusing on transforming their overall IT environment. This person will be coming in to not only document the current state of systems and applications but also documenting future state. This person will need to have in depth experience with Microsoft Office suite tools specifically Word and Visio. - Will be creating user guides, tech references, and spec docs
- Documents being created will be no more than 30 pages
- Will be performing usability testing
- Utilizing word and Visio for tools within Tech writing
- Candidates will need to create documentation strategies/plans
- Utilizing SharePoint for publishing of these documents
- Will be some editing but zero training
