Description:Wachter won a Switch Project Scope of work: The Switch Install project will consist of 2 teams. Fiber pulling team and switch install team. Fiber pullers (team of 2) - This team will travel to Walmart stores pulling on Avg 10 cables per store. Also staging Switchs for the switch install team. Fiber techs will work 6 days a week to start the project. Sunday - Friday The Switch install team (team of 2) will be traveling behind the fiber pullers to decommission the old Switch and install new switches Switch Techs will work 5 days a week to start the project Sunday - Thursday The fiber tech will install Fiber using a fusion splicer and test connections. All work will be done overnight. This project will go through end of Oct. Technicians will work 60 to 72 hours a week. This includes drive time between sites. On site time will be 10 hour days. Must have their own basic hand tools This is a 100% traveling position, technicians will be given a van or rental vehicle The duration is April 27 to Oct 31Skills:Cat5, Cat6, Terminations, Punchdown, Travel, Fiber, Walmart, WAP, Wireless Access PointsTop Skills Details:Cat5, Cat6, Terminations, Punchdown, Travel, Fiber, Walmart,WAP, Wireless Access PointsAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Must be able to pull and terminate fiber using a fusion splicer working from 4-27-23 through up to 10-31-23 could be done by 8-23-23 but leaving the final date. Will have to pull a minimum of 10 fibers per location. terminate up 12 stands both sites per fiber pulled. be able to follow instructions and code when pulling fiber. need to be able to be a self starter and able to work well with a partner 6 days a week. need to make sure they are able to lift and carry 50 pounds throughout the day able to operate a scissor lift and explain when and how to operate the lift. able to meet the safety requirements for the project safety for boots and wear hard had safety glasses and a vest, and when in the lift wear and fit in to the safety harness able to meet the lift weight requirements. Be able to fill out the work order and take care of the tools provided by the office to do the job. tools required by the tech hand tools, screwdrivers both standard and Phillips snips punch down (impact), toner and probe, pliers, adjustable wrenches, joint pliers, lineman pliers.
