Volunteer Princess Cruises is looking to hire a vessel manager for the upcoming season. We cruise the Tennessee River in downtown Knoxville year round.

JOB SUMMARY: The vessel manager is responsible for passenger safety and enjoyment along with supervising the boat crew in providing prompt and efficient service. Also, the proper maintenance, cleanliness, and general operation of the vessel. May be required to work in the office on weekends, but will discuss during interview.

DUTIES:

Exhibit a high degree of professionalism, friendliness, and concern for customer satisfaction.

Tying and untying of all lines and securing of all gates or supervision of

Usage of hose and fire extinguishers

Location of life vests and other safety equipment and procedures

Man overboard, fire, and abandon ship drills

Driving the boat in the event the Captain would be incapacitated

Assist in the training of boat crew and providing periodic performance evaluations to the GM.

Ensure that all applicable health, safety, and corporate regulations are properly observed.

Maintain vessel at the highest level of cleanliness in accordance with corporate standards.

Report vessel needs and needed repairs to the GM.

Supervise the set up of the boat in accordance with the needs of each trip.

Ensure that crew members are properly dressed, with uniforms being clean, tucked in and neat in appearance.

Ensure that bar is properly stocked and provide weekly needs list

Hold pre-shift meetings to go over responsibilities for each cruise

Check bathrooms prior to cruise and at the end of each cruise and restock/clean if necessary.

This position is a constantly evolving one. You will wear many hats and are expected to be comfortable in any position. You must be able to pass a drug test and will be put on a random testing program.
