Mechanical Field Engineer

Turner and Townsend are seeking a Field Mechanical Engineer to be in the field based in Taiwan.  The position requires bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese. In the position, you will use your engineering expertise to provide technical construction support, oversee the construction, testing and troubleshooting of mechanical systems in the field, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with project specifications for the high voltage substation project. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of engineering principles, and engineering standards.Job Description:Field Support: Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting, and support for mechanical systems at project sites. Project Execution: Assist in the practical implementation of electrical designs and specifications, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets. Compliance: Ensure that electrical systems and installations comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations. Documentation: Contribute to project documentation, including reports, drawings, and specifications. Collaboration: Work effectively with project teams, operations staff, and subcontractors to ensure project success. Site Assessment: Conduct site visits to assess project feasibility, identify potential issues, and develop solutions. Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during project execution, ensuring operational reliability and safety. Quality Assurance: Participate in quality control and assurance activities to ensure that electrical systems meet project requirements and industry standards. Risk Management: Assist in identifying and mitigating potential risks related to electrical systems and installations. Training and Mentoring: Provide technical guidance and training to project teams and operations staff, as needed.
