Sous Chef (F/M/X)

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Novotel Canberra. As the second-in-command in our kitchen, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of food quality and kitchen operations. You will:Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and staff managementDevelop and implement new menu items, ensuring creativity and adherence to our culinary standardsTrain and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environmentEnsure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulationsManage inventory, place orders, and control food costsStep in for the Head Chef when necessary, demonstrating strong leadership skillsCollaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and guest satisfactionParticipate in menu planning, food preparation, and platingMaintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
