Description Hybrid Accounting Assistant Role (Temporary Contract) in HoustonAn exciting opportunity for a Temporary Accounting Assistant has emerged in the Montrose area of Houston. Join our Corporate Accounting team and take on a diverse range of AP-focused tasks.Key Responsibilities:
Invoice Processing & Vendor Maintenance: Carry out maintenance tasks as needed and maintain an understanding of corporate accounts, approval processes, and general ledger coding.
Wire Transfers: Administrate various wire transfer requests.
Vendor Relationships: Foster and maintain relationships with vendors and internal departments to resolve AP-related issues.
Month-End Duties: Assist with month-end responsibilities such as posting journal entries, AP sub-module reports, account reconciliations, and auxiliary research activity.
Additional Duties: Deliver administrative support as required and partake in research projects and other ad-hoc tasks.
Requirements
Desired Skills & Attributes:
Communication: Excellent command of both written and oral communication.
Relationship Development: Previous experience in building customer relationships and exposure to high-level executives is advantageous.
Work Ethics: Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, high volume work environment.
Education & Experience Required:
Education: Minimum requirement: High school diploma or equivalent. Some college studies would be beneficial.
Software Proficiency: Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Oracle software experience is a bonus.
Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience in an Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable environment.
