Company Background: Our client, a major employer in the area, is looking for an Accounting SAP ERP Consultant/Analyst to be part of its team in its North American operations.

DESCRIPTION:

Position Summary:
  • Need Candidate to support the Accounting & Tax department on various client's ERP Projects
  • ERP Transition – Recently client transitioned its ERP to SAP from PeopleSoft. SAP modules for General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables have been implemented. This transition continues and there are projects to migrate all remaining Peoplesoft based interfaces to SAP.
  • ERP Functionality Expansion – Projects to Implement New modules in SAP such as MDG, In-House Cash, etc.
  • ERP Enterprise Support – Client is growing, and new businesses are being added. There are projects to build interfaces between source systems and SAP for these growth initiatives. In addition, legacy systems are being retired and replaced with updated, modern systems. There are projects to support transitioning away from legacy systems.

Responsibilities:
  • This resource will act as a Functional Accounting Consultant for the Accounting Team for client's ERP Projects and will work closely with our Senior Managers and Managers (Project Leaders) to develop accounting requirements, design, and assist with system builds, testing, and deliverables implementation for various ERP related projects. This individual will need to be strategic and forward thinking and understand the implications/impacts of an SAP Implementation on the Accounting Group and front-end dealer and customer servicing groups.
  • This role is focused on GL Accounting, AP/AR processing and Financial Reporting experience (more of a true accounting role). This person will be working closely with managers and directors.

Requirements:

Must Haves:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • General Accounting and Financial Reporting Experience
  • SAP Implementation Experience - SAP – S4 HANA, ECC
  • Business Requirements gathering, understanding, and translating
  • Write clear and complete documentation
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Influencing Customers and Users
  • Develop sound SIT/UAT testing scenarios and write out detailed scripts

Preferred/ Nice-to-haves:
  • Consulting experience
  • Business Process Transformation experience
  • Agile/Scrum methodology experience
