Description We are in search of an Accounting Specialist to join our team located in Galveston, Texas. This role involves various accounting functions in a diverse industry setting. The employment opportunity offered is a contract to hire, providing valuable experience and growth potential within the team.Responsibilities: Manage and execute payroll operations accurately and in a timely manner Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately Conduct regular bank reconciliations to verify the company's financial transactions and status Perform job costing by determining the costs associated with different projects or tasks within the company Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and pivot tables to organize and present financial data effectively Operate Accounting Software Systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems for efficient financial management Leverage experience with Sage 300 for specific accounting functions, if applicable Carry out auditing tasks periodically to ensure financial compliance and accuracy Oversee billing functions, ensuring all invoices are issued and payments are received promptly Manage ADP - Financial Services, Ceridian, and Concur systems for various financial operations.
