Description We are in search of a meticulous Accounts Payable Clerk to join our retail team located in Southlake, Texas. The role's primary functions include processing vendor invoices, integrating invoices from Excel into MS Dynamics, and managing travel cards, which requires locating receipts and coding. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Key in manual vendor invoices ranging from 40-80 weekly. Integrate invoices from Excel into MS Dynamics. Manage travel cards, which involves locating receipts and coding. Review and audit expense report submissions for accuracy, coding, and compliance with T& E policies. Review and code activity processed on multiple credit card programs. Assist with reimbursable expense trackers and reimbursable expense invoices. Process vendor invoices and check requests timely and accurately; includes understanding of vendor activity to ensure proper coding of expense on the GL. Maintain vendor files; review W9s for proper 1099 classification. Assist with 1099 reporting. Prepare account, vendor, and other reconciliations as needed. Research vendor and employee inquiries to determine appropriate course of action; escalate when necessary for resolution. Compose verbal and/or written correspondence to internal customers and external vendors. Manage vendor maintenance, all invoice coding and input, manual payments, vendor reconciliations. Obtain receipts and code activity for AMEX cards. Prepare reimbursable expense trackers and invoices for assigned clients. Possibly move to handling fixed assets once AP is settled. Requirements Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent. Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly in Excel. Knowledge of bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures. Familiarity with general ledger systems and procedures. Strong understanding of the Accounts Payable (AP) process. Ability to handle sensitive, complex, and confidential information with discretion. Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work well within a team and collaborate effectively with other departments. Understanding of retail industry operations would be advantageous. Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
