Description Robert Half is seeking a candidate for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk that is able to start asap. Located in Boerne, Texas, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary position. Career growth and quick advancement makes this department a desirable place to work. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be required to match and batch code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks.Your responsibilities in this role
Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis
Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling
Execute full-cycle A/P
Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed
Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed
Assist with internal and external audits as needed
Execute additional tasks as needed
Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department
Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs Requirements - Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
Proficiency in journal entries
Expertise in 3 Way Matching
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
