Description Are you an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk seeking a new role? Then this employment opportunity offered through Robert Half may be for you. Located in Houston, Texas, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a short-term contract / temporary to hire position. Career growth and quick advancement is available in this progressive department. The Accounts Payable Clerk will match and batch code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks.Responsibilities
Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling
Provide support during internal and external audits
Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
Complete special projects on an as-needed basis
Ensure compliance with company policies while carrying out daily processes and controls accurately and on time
Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department
Provide support to internal business partners
Conduct full-cycle A/P
Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it Requirements - Spreadsheet and database capabilities
Strong attention to detail
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
Enter Vendor Invoices experience preferred
Manage Vendor Relationships experience preferred
Well-founded grasp of Accounts Payable (AP)
Proven knowledge of Enter Invoices
Proficiency in Enter Vendor Invoices
Customer invoices experience
Solid understanding of Manage Vendor Relationships
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
