Description Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Payable (A/P) Specialist available for a long-term contract / temporary to full-time vacancy on a quickly expanding team at a thriving company. The Accounts Payable Clerk will match, batch, and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. Excellent communication, written and verbal are a must, as well as building relationships with vendors and other departments. Based out of the Houston, Texas area, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary to full-time opening.Your responsibilities in this role
Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks
Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners
Facilitate internal and external audits as needed
Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies
Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling
Perform full-cycle A/P
Carry out additional projects as required
Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis
Sort, register, scan, and store invoices, checks, and other documents
Requirements
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
Accounts Payable (AP) experience
Enter Invoices experience preferred
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
