Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist based in Garland, Texas. The role involves managing activities related to invoice and payment processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. The successful candidate will be the point of contact for vendors and internal clients, maintaining vendor relationships and accounts. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Ensure check run cycles are completed accurately and on time. Process internal and external wire transfers, utility invoices and manual checks. Act as a liaison between Accounts Payable and external parties, including vendors, suppliers and employees. Maintain vendor accounts, ensuring company policies and processes are adhered to. Accurately research vendor, employee or client inquiries. Prepare analyses of accounts and produce weekly and monthly reports. Audit and process credit card bills. Support month-end and year-end closing processes and coordinate necessary year-end projects. Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies. Collaborate and build relationships across the organization. Requirements Demonstrated proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) Familiarity with Dynamics software Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounts payable role Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Excellent data entry skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve discrepancies Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to meet deadlines and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
