Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in the Healthcare industry located in Bellaire, Texas. This role involves managing provider claim reconciliations, analyzing financial transactions, and overseeing accounts payable activities. This is a contract employment opportunity that offers a long-term engagement.Responsibilities: Undertake research related to check information provided by provider relations and match Tapestry invoice number to Accounts Payable check. Analyze and reconcile outstanding checks and pinpoint reasons for remaining outstanding such as incorrect address, provider's requirement of Explanation of Payment (EOP), and others. Manage weekly void and re-issue lists and coordinate relevant information with the Accounts Payable team. Respond to Customer Relationship Management (CRM) inquiries including, but not limited to, items above, as well as preparation of provider refunds. Reissue outstanding checks from periods prior to the Change Health Care (CHC) outage, adhering to our bank account closure prior to the escheatment deadline. Reconcile paid checks to outstanding checks after weekly Accounts Payable payment run and review W9s, re-engaging with providers if not completed correctly. Process Tapestry reports and data external to Oracle, as well as importing payment file for providers due to the occurrence with Change Health Care security breach. Regularly cross-reference multiple reports. Maintain open communication with several departments to manage provider claim reconciliations. Requirements Proficient in Account Coding and Accrual Accounting Skilled in utilizing Accounting Software Systems Familiar with ADP - Financial Services Experienced in using Concur and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning Able to handle all Accounting Functions including Accounts Payable (AP) Knowledgeable in Auditing and Automated Clearing House (ACH) Must be adept at Claims Processing Requires a strong understanding of the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and time management skills Detail-oriented and able to multitask effectively Able to work independently and as part of a team Familiar with confidentiality and data protection procedures.
