Job Title: Accounts Receivable ClerkJob Description:We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable / Franchise Accounting Specialist to join our customers team! The ideal candidate will lead that accounts receivable process for the business, focusing on driving continuous improvement. This role entails various responsibilities including cash application, collections, franchisee accounting, and compliance tasks.Responsibilities:
Collect and record bank deposits, lock box deposits, ACH, and credit card payments reconciliation
Perform follow-up activities related to payments, including deductions and overpayments
Develop processes for collecting delinquent payments on all balances and communicate effectively with customers to facilitate collections
Lead franchisee accounting functions including royalty reporting, collections, and payments
Reconcile escheatment open credits and implement ongoing processes to comply with state regulations
Research customer account history to identity discrepancies and take necessary corrective action
Collaborate with internal teams and franchisees to resolve accounts receivable-related discrepancies
Process and mail monthly customer statements
Oversee and administer customer payment plans
Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications
Must be located in North Texas area
Intermediate experience in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
General proficiency in ERP systems, NetSuite experience is a plus
Knowledge of GAAP
Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline preferred
3 - 5 years of relevant experience, including working in all areas of accounts receivable
Strong understanding of cash application and analytical skills to reconcile accounts
