Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description Robert Half has an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Receivable (A/R) detail oriented at a company in the Construction/Contractor industry. In this position, you will enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. This is a long-term contract / contract Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the League City, Texas area. Key responsibilities

Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, including skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment

Provide information, as requested to the sales/marketing department, shippers, customers, and other stakeholders

Execute a range of foundational accounting tasks in agreement with normal procedures, including general accounting tasks

Support, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization

Help resolve payment issues by contacting clients, assist in setting up payment plans

Process payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP

Square bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in diverse ledgers

Verify documents and codes Requirements - Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)

-TRACK experience is highly preferred

Commercial collections experience

Strong familiarity with Employee Timesheets

Enter Invoices experience preferred

AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field

Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills

Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Efficient in ERP systems

Established analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
