Description A client of ours in the oil and gas industry is seeking a highly competent Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. As an integral member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounts receivable processes and ensuring timely collections.Responsibilities:

Invoicing and Billing: Generate accurate and timely invoices for goods and services rendered to clients/customers.

Accounts Receivable Management: Monitor accounts receivable aging, follow up on overdue accounts, and implement collection strategies to ensure timely payment.

Cash Application: Apply payments received accurately to customer accounts and reconcile discrepancies.

Customer Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients/customers regarding outstanding balances, payment terms, and invoice discrepancies.

Resolve Disputes: Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or disputes promptly and professionally.

Credit Analysis: Assess creditworthiness of new and existing customers, establish credit limits, and review credit terms.

Reporting: Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status, aging analysis, and cash forecasts for management review.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the accounts receivable function.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation of all accounts receivable transactions.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

Proven experience (2+ years) in accounts receivable, billing, or related financial roles.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Prior experience in contract roles or temporary assignments is a plus.
