KEY FUNCTIONS Employee Training/CompetencyDemonstrates proficiency in area of expertise meeting accuracy and productivity standardsDevelop/maintain employee training program/materialsDemonstrate competency in completion of assigned tasks and projectsUnderstand workflow of a specialized pharmacy areaQuality Assurance/Improvement and Project ManagementCompletes all assigned Quality Assurance and productivity reports including record keeping and appropriate follow up.Researches/monitors problems, initiates corrective action and follow through until challenge is resolved.Effectively communicate and establish a professional and harmonious relationship with the out-of-state hospital Cancer Network partnership.Appropriately designate prescription assignment within Epic according to pharmacy contractual networkDevelop, implement and/or support special projects throughout the institutionRetail Operations WorkflowManage prescription flow, count/pour correct drug into appropriately sized container, label container and prepare it for pharmacist verification.Correct all label errors and calculations prior to delivery to pharmacist.Appropriately identify patients using two patient identifiers to assure correct medication is delivered to correct patient.Manage patient wait time in line by determining course of action in dealing with financial issues.Follow ACHC specialty standard and are part of current accreditation process.Maintain assigned sections by checking expiration dates, clean and face shelves, remove partial bottles/liquids and return to stock bottles from shelves.Follow correct inventory procedure to prevent discrepancies.Demonstrate competency of all computer systems and applications used in the area.Demonstrate knowledge of all PBMs, third party prescription order entry, patient registration, and prescription reconciliation.Other duties as assignedCORE COMPETENCIESTechnical/Functional Expertise Demonstrate technical proficiency required to do the job; possesses up-to-date knowledge in the profession.
