Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Agile Coach for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in Dallas, TX. Responsibilities :

  • Designs and delivers transformational agile training to teams, scrum masters, product owners, and functional managers.
  • Delivers hands-on coaching for individual teams in all aspects of scrum, Kanban, or other agile methods including roles & responsibilities, daily meetings, planning at different levels, self-organization, collaboration, iterative development, and metrics that aid continuous improvement.
  • Shadows roles on the ITS Delivery teams to facilitate learning through immersion.
  • Coaches teams in project initiation, organization, and goal and change management aspects of agile.
  • Assesses teams against Agile best practices and provides recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Develops, tracks, and communicates agile adoption and progress metrics at team and organizational levels.
  • Analyzes metrics and progress to make recommendations to mediate risks.
  • Discovers opportunities to champion agile values, principles and adoption across the organization.
  • Called upon to work as a Scrum Master who plans, leads, organizes, and motivates ITS Delivery teams of the highest levels of complexity, organizational importance and visibility.
  • Coaches executives, senior leadership, and business partners on agile/lean and their roles in Agile transformation.
  • Partners with senior leadership to ensure organizational alignment with agile frameworks.
  • Supports implementation of scaling frameworks such as SAFe, LeSS, DaD, etc.
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or management-related field of study is required
  • Minimum experience required of the position:
  • Professional experience that includes at least 5+ years in a scrum master position and 1+ years as an Agile Coach
  • Excellent leadership skills to lead and influence a high-performing product team by providing coaching and support, and apply risk management discipline to mitigate risks and remove impediments effectively
  • Broad knowledge pertaining to Scaled Agile practices (SAFe) and methodology, and software development life cycle
  • Excellent listening, and oral and written communication skills tailored for the intended audience
  • Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, cross-functional team members and customers
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) required
Preferred Skills:
  • Any other Agile related certification is a plus
