We are working with an Oilfield client that is growing like crazy and adding an
Agora IIoT Engineer – PPCU (Direct Hire) to their team.Pay: 120k (3-5 years exp.) and 150k (7-10 yrs. exp.)Job Location: Onsite – Sugar Land, TX 77478Additional Information: 10% - 20% annual bonus, and long-term incentives in the form of RSUs ranging from 95k-115k.Job Overview: The Agora IoT Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing IoT solutions for the Agora offering. The Agora IIoT Engineer draws on a background in Electrical and Computer Engineering and extensive knowledge of communication protocols, messaging systems, embedded Linux, and device management. Key Responsibilities:- Build prototypes, products, and systems suitable for testing, and set up and run lab simulations.
- Engage with end users to determine use cases and scenarios.
- Implement algorithms on the edge.
- Design, build and deploy apps for the Agora Gateway, based on the Agora SDK
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
- Author technical reports, papers, articles, patents, and presentations.
- Bachelor's (or equivalent industrial experiences) / Master’s / Ph.D. degree in science or engineering with software experience or education with a minimum of 3 years of direct experience.
- A Master’s or Post Graduate degree is a plus.
- Demonstrable interest or experience in developing applications in C, C, .NET Core, and Python.
- Good understanding of IoT, edge computing, security, and communication protocols (MQTT, AMPQ).
- Experience in implementing IoT solutions on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience in container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience working with Linux and Bash scripting.
- Experience in embedded software development (RTOS, ADC, buffers, sensors, signal conditioning) is a plus.
- Experience with small single-board computers (Raspberry Pi) is a plus.
- Experience with virtual machines (Virtual Box, VMWare, etc.) is a plus.
- Experience with computer vision and machine learning is a plus.
- Knowledge and experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous.
- Experience in Agile methodologies, Git source code management, Test-Driven Development, and integration testing.
- Self-starter. Work independently in a highly dynamic start-up environment.
