Description Our client is currently seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Accounting Specialist for our Credit Administration department. The suitable candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record in credit recovery processes, processing refund checks, handling third party audit claims and invoices, and tracking rebates.Key Responsibilities:

Monthly preparation of vendor aging reports for the Chemical and Oil and Gas sectors, in order to reduce outstanding invoices.

Conduct research and reconcile open aging credits by identifying any open invoices or contacting the vendor for a refund check.

Identify and prepare supporting documentation for credit write-offs aged over a year.

Assign account coding for refund payments using SAP.

Operate as a liaison for third party audit companies, scrutinizing all claims and invoices for payment.

Semi-annually consolidate payment data from SAP to create reports for third party auditors, assisting in the recovery of overpayments.

Regularly update the status of each claim in the company's third-party audit dashboard.

Gather and compile rebate information from Supply Chain and AP departments, ensuring all data is tracked accurately.

Perform daily invoice audit reviews to identify potential duplicate payments.

Maintain familiarity with and adherence to company and department policies and procedures.

Cooperatively work with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and accounting staff to resolve any account coding issues.

Assist Supervisor and/or Coordinator with special projects as required.

Maintain desk manuals for the role.

Requirements

A minimum of two years' experience in Business Accounting or Finance.

Demonstrated ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Excellent communication skills.

Strong research and problem-solving skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work well with others and maintain composure in challenging situations.

Positive Attitude and strong work ethic.

Ability to evaluate, analyze and streamline processes.

High proficiency in 10-key typing and intermediate skills in MS Excel.
