Work environment: Heart & Vascular Specialists
Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am – 5:00 pm
Texas Health Physicians Group (THPG) is a not-for-profit physician organization with more than 250 locations and 800 physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants dedicated to providing quality care in clinics and medical offices throughout North Texas.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent (required)
2 years related experience in Healthcare environment (preferred)
2 years’ experience in Cardiac & Cardio Vascular Healthcare (preferred)
Experience in a Fast-Paced Healthcare setting Answering High-Volume Calls (strongly preferred)
Experience with Healthcare Insurance and Scheduling (preferred)
Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
Position Responsibilities THPG Appointment Scheduling Specialist Responsible for answering phone calls and scheduling patient appointments. Conduct patient pre-certification to ensure coverage for appointments and medical care. Schedule tests, procedures, and referral appointments. Communicate with patients regarding appointments and instructions for procedures and tests. May collect fees such as co-pays / co-insurance. Gathers insurance information and patient personal data. Demonstrates positive professional customer service in all patient, staff, and visitor contacts. Performs other duties as assigned.In addition to the required qualifications, a successful Appointment Scheduling Specialist willrequire strong customer skills
