Find your future with us.Boeing Global Services is currently seeking an Associate-Level Manufacturing Engineer to become part of the Factory Support Collaboration Center in San Antonio, TX.This role will focus on providing project management to a program by working across multi-skill areas and driving project execution through cross-functional collaboration. The selected candidate will also provide Executive and Senior Manager level briefings covering various production improvement opportunities and projects at a program level.Position Responsibilities:
Conducts complex producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements.
Resolves complex technical problems.
Provides technical, business and integration leadership for the development and execution of project or team plans.
Assists in the development and integration of programs, plans, strategies and processes to meet business goals for authorization.
Ensure enablers are documented and functional teams are aligned, committed and on plan.
Plans, identifies, and coordinates resources required over the life of the project or program. Defines plans for risk mitigation and opportunity.
Compares actual results to baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity and lessons learned.
Develops statement of work (SOW) to satisfy research and development, ongoing and new business requirements.
Works with customers and management to obtain approval.
Responds to changes to SOW, assesses the impact and negotiates proposed changes to determine modifications to the deliverables, resources, costs and schedules.
Employs lead principals to reduce process flow times.
Leads project execution to complete the work statement.
Identifies & integrates performance metrics.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options (San Antonio, TX) .Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited course of study , in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or similar Engineering degree.
1+ years’ experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
1+ years’ experience utilizing professional/technical writing skills, teaming successfully to solve technical issues.
1+ years’ experience leading, managing, or implementing Lean+ initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with engineering and technical Data for VC-25B, Commercial 747 or comparable commercial derivative aircraft platform.
Experience with GoldEsp.
1+ years’ experience interpreting materials and processes specifications.
1+ years’ experience in Project Management.
Typical Education & Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
