The Associate Editor will be responsible for market coverage and driving our existing price assessments forward.What’s in it for you:

The successful candidate would contribute to a fast paced, and dynamic team based in Houston that works across the Agriculture & Food markets.
Assist in identifying, developing, and executing new price assessment opportunities across the Agriculture & Food markets.
Responsibilities:
Leading market coverage on Agriculture & Food markets by reporting on daily physical trade activity including bids, offers and other relevant information.
Building and managing our database of contacts, seek potential new sources to contribute to our assessment process and developing a close business relationship with market participants.
Identifying opportunities to develop and refine methodology as well as helping launch new price assessments.
Writing daily and weekly commentaries and daily assessment rationale explaining the trends driving prices.
Creating news stories and multi-media coverage.
Work closely with relevant units across the organization such as commercial, analytics and news.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience of Agriculture & Food markets.
Strong numeracy skills and the ability to apply basic math functions in Excel.
Strong communication skills that demonstrate good listening, clear writing style, and strong verbal skills. The ability to communicate across a wide range of groups and personalities internally and externally.
Excellent writing skills.
Entrepreneurial and self-starter mindset with effective problem-solving skills.
An ability to multitask and prioritize under tight deadlines.
Other Qualifications:
A solid understanding of economics and commodities markets fundamentals.
Additional language skills would be an advantage.
Degree in Agronomics, Sciences, Journalism, Economics, Finance, Business or similar.
Experience in price reporting or market reporting is a benefit.
Right to Work Requirements:This role is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States.Compensation/Benefits Information:S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position starts at 80,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.
