Automotive Quality/Accuracy Technician

AVA Consulting is seeking a Quality/Accuracy TechnicianLocation: San Antonio, TXU.S. Citizens and those authorized to work in the U.S. are encouraged to apply. We are unable to sponsor at this time.DESCRIPTION: Job Duties:

• Checking body welding tooling and part accuracy using Vectorarm, Perceptron, & FARO portable CMM equipment.
• Gathering part information from Digital Engineering systems.
• Checking part quality using hand tools and quality checking fixtures.
• Supporting Sheetmetal Sub-assy. and Body build trials and activities during pre-production events.
• Troubleshooting equipment, tooling, parts and part fitting.
• Analyzing part and sub-assembly data, and provide feedback to project leader(s).

• Automotive Quality experience.
• Capable of using Vectorarm, FARO, scanners, or similar portable CMM equipment.
• Strong Computer skills, including: MS PowerPoint , Excel and Word.
• Able to create and maintain schedules.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, off shifts, and overtime
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to handle medium to heavy physical work.

• Knowledge of DE tools related to Welding (3D Magic, PolyWorks, Catia)
• Knowledge of metrology, weld tooling design, weld tool fabrication, and CAD design experience.
