Description As a Development-focused member of the Cloud & Platform Services team based in Houston, TX, your responsibilities will include:

Playing a crucial role in a global team responsible for maintaining and operating Vitol's shared platform and supporting its strategic roadmap.

Actively shaping, building and operating our CICD technical landscape.

Working closely with our Software Development teams to assist in the creation and management of application CICD artefacts.

Collaborating with our Cyber Security team to ensure that automation and our shared platform landscape adhere to the highest security standards.

Partnering with Cloud Engineers to embed cloud resource creation into the app deployment processes and creating the necessary tooling.

Influencing the development of policies, standards, and guidelines for CI/CD.

Requirements

Skills and Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in building and managing CICD platforms in either .NET or Python.

At least 3 years of experience in operating and providing support for global bespoke and/or commercial platforms.

2 or more years of automation experience within an AWS Cloud Hybrid environment.

Proficiency in both Windows and Linux environments from an OS and ecosystem perspective.

Automation experience with Jenkins, Terraform, Gitlab/Github, ECS and (preferably) Nexus.

Practical experience with one or more of the following: Kafka, Redis, Atlassian Suite, Elastic, Datadog, ActiveBatch, or Control-M.

Strong development skills with exposure to cloud technologies, preferably AWS.

Scripting skills in Python, Bash, and/or PowerShell.

Proven track record of problem resolution and ability to drive tasks to completion independently.

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to interact effectively with stakeholders.

Proactive and customer-oriented approach with a can-do attitude and a keen interest in tackling both functional and technical challenges.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in the commodities/trading industry.

Significant contribution to the CICD strategy in an enterprise setting.

Background in software development, preferably in .NET or Python.

Some experience with SecOps, particularly with platforms like Hashicorp Vault.

Former Cloud Engineer (AWS) responsibilities.
