Title : Infrastructure Solution ArchitectCloud Location : Dallas TX Duration : 6 Months contract Hybrid ONSITE/REMOTE role in Dallas TX, Locals Only we are industry disruptors. The Architect, Infrastructure & Operations will work with Engineers and other Architects to analyze system requirements, lead the design and review of new systems, and recommend modern technologies and infrastructure improvements, across both public and private cloud platforms. This position is responsible for ensuring that developed infrastructure meets CarMax's architectural and quality expectations and will work with leadership to create infrastructure roadmaps based on business strategy. This position reports directly to the Director, Technology Operations. What you will do Essential Responsibilities

Design and architect solutions within the Infrastructure and Operations Team (Public/Private Cloud, PKI, Networking, Voice, End User Computing, Database)
Analyze business and technical requirements to determine system design requirements, identify potential issues, and perform cost analysis related costs to each project.
Work with, and communicate key architectural concepts, to a broad audience including engineers, technology leadership, and business partners.
Proactively research and assess modern technologies that could potentially provide new capabilities to the business

Purpose of the role It takes a passion for technology to develop and iterate on innovative solutions to problems. You will partner with Engineers, other Architects and Leaders in product and technology to influence the direction for the organization as we establish the patterns, guidance and design for building and deploying infrastructure to support both customer and internal facing applications. You will be a technical mentor to Engineers and serve as an expert on our overall architectural designs and standards. You should have strong communications skills, a strong sense of ownership, a passion for customer service, and a deep technical understanding of how our infrastructure platforms can contribute to the overall success of our application development. You will be comfortable guiding teams to build a robust CI/CD pipeline along with in-depth knowledge of tools such as GitHub, Azure Native applications, containerization, and be passionate about availability and security. Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related Technology field or equivalent experience

Expertise in Multiple Public and Private cloud Technologies
Microsoft Azure Platform
- - Subscriptions, management groups
  - Policies and initiatives
  - Governance
  - Azure PaaS (Platform as a Service), IaaS (infrastructure as a service) and networking
  - Azure Resource Management Templates
  - Cost Management
VMWare or similar Hypervisor technology
Active Directory and Domain services
Windows and Linux Server Infrastructure -physical and virtual
Storage technologies -physical and virtual
Broad understanding of:
- - Security
  - Networking
  - End user computing
  - Databases
  - Application Development
