Salary: Negotiable, Benefits, PTO, etc.Seeking a Backend Engineering Manager who is a Senior Level Resource that can manage a couple of critical teams who is also technically strong. They are based in Austin, Texas, with offices in Amsterdam, Bangalore, and Tokyo.Overview:As an Engineering Manager you will provide technical leadership in a lean, fast-paced, startup-like environment. You will be deeply engaged in the full development lifecycle discovering, designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, observing, and improving our software and services. You will drive a lean, agile product development flow to deliver impactful solutions to customers needs. You will own the success of projects while collaborating with multifunctional teams and partners as you solve exciting problems with real impact at global scale. You must be at ease working in a fast-paced environment with a startup mindset where the buck stops with you and your team and your collective performance drives the company's overall success.Desired Skills & Experience:• 10+ years of increasing responsibility in cloud software development including demonstrated experience leading teams of increasing scale.• Experience successfully driving agile development teams with a history as scrum master, product owner, or both.• Demonstrated technical knowledge of Full stack development methodologies including high-level (Python etc) web/services centric languages and modern deployment web-scale tools and patterns (Docker, Kubernetes, etc). • Deep understanding in backing stores and databases including both SQL/NoSQL such as Postgres, Cassandra is mandatory.• Desire to solve challenging problems in real-time while helping to create new procedures when those that do exist no longer fit the current state of affairs.• Excellent communication skills are mandatory as well as the ability to attract, mentor, and grow exceptional technical talent. IC’s as well as people managers.• Understanding and expertise in the security, surveillance, or IoT domains is a huge plus.
