Description We are offering the role of a Billing Clerk in the utilities and infrastructure industry, located in Irving, Texas. This role is a contract employment opportunity with a focus on billing and data management. You will be working in a typical office environment, handling and maintaining billing records and using various software such as Microsoft Excel for data entry and tracking.Responsibilities: Reconciling deliveries for invoicing and tracking specific data with precision and accuracy Utilizing Access databases and Excel spreadsheets for data management, including the use of pivot tables and v-lookups Demonstrating efficient and comprehensive computer skills including data entry with a focus on speed and accuracy Ensuring customer billing records are accurate and up-to-date to facilitate smooth operations Handling customer inquiries about billing and resolving any issues promptly Monitoring customer accounts and initiating action for delinquent payments to ensure timely revenue collection Demonstrating reliability and exceptional organization skills in maintaining billing records and managing data Being an active and motivated team member, contributing positively to the team dynamics Sitting for extended periods of time due to the nature of the job function. Skills: Proficiency in Billing procedures and Microsoft Excel is essential for this role. Requirements The applicant must possess comprehensive knowledge and experience in billing procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, with the ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets effectively. The candidate should have a strong aptitude for mathematics and financial data. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information is essential. The applicant must have strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required to interact with customers and team members. The candidate should have a keen attention to detail to ensure accurate billing records. The applicant must have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The candidate should have strong problem-solving skills to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes. Experience in the utilities/infrastructure industry is preferred. Familiarity with billing software and other relevant computer applications is desired. The candidate should exhibit a high level of professionalism and integrity.
