Description We are seeking a Billing Clerk to join our team located in Houston, Texas. This role is integral to our operations in the oil and gas industry, where you will be tasked with handling high volumes of data entry and resolving discrepancies relating to billing and adjustments. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team-oriented environment.Responsibilities: Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner Maintain and update customer credit records to ensure accuracy Resolve customer inquiries relating to billing and adjustments Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operation and problem-solving Utilize accounting software systems for billing functions Handle portal billing tasks specifically related to the oil and gas industry Use automated billing systems such as Open Invoice, SAP Ariba, and Coupa Conduct high volume data entry tasks efficiently Employ basic Excel skills for data management and reporting. Requirements Proficiency in accounting software systems Experience with computerized billing Familiarity with billing functions and procedures Knowledge of SAP Ariba software Ability to handle billing processes and operations Experience with automated billing systems Proficiency in using Open Invoice software Familiarity with Coupa software Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational skills Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to handle confidential information responsibly Ability to work independently and as part of a team Solid problem-solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Knowledge of basic accounting principles Excellent data entry skills Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
