We have exciting opportunities for Business Analysts to join our team and engage with us to deliver technology solutions that are making a strategic impact across the enterprise.

This role resides in the Information Technology Planning & Delivery team and will manage project business requirements from planning through implementation. We believe that strong relationships matter and are looking for individuals who can manage the delivery of new solutions while building relationships across IT, business teams and our vendor partners. This person will apply proven methods and practices to identify, refine, document, and priorities business needs.

Our Business Analyst Role:

Leads the end to end creation of solution requirements both internally and externally. Understand business needs and works to optimize and shape priorities for delivery. Understands all stakeholders needs and works cross functionally to align priorities and manage conflicts in priorities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for managing all aspects of collecting, refining, and prioritizing business requirements
  • Creates the business requirements document, reviews, and receives sign-off from project core team members and leadership team
  • Identifies all business processes impacted
  • Leads 'as is' and 'to be' functional and cross functional sessions; clearly identifies gaps and business impacts. Understands the difference between and drives clarity in functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Drives clarity in gaps/issues to be resolved and creates cross functional alignment in priorities. Fosters team work and collaboration to develop comprehensive solutions.
  • Actively monitors the development of solutions and business needs. Monitors the risk and potential for scope and solution change. Acts as the primary liaison to negotiate the need for any changes throughout the project.
  • Clearly communicates the implications of the change, utilizing a formal change control process to document, review, and gain approval and prioritize.
  • Partners with the quality assurance team for test planning and execution of the overall solution. Works with the QA team member to ensure traceability of requirements through test execution. Provides support to QA team for data set up and alignment across systems for end to end testing.
  • Monitors the solution in warranty and assesses defects for missed requirements or missed testing. Supports user acceptance testing.
  • Partners with business for defect prioritization for resolution and retesting of resolved defects.
  • Partners with project leadership and application development to schedule defects / enhancements for future releases.
  • Partners with the business for evaluating change management needs and training. As solution develops, partners with business for change impact assessment and supports developing change management plans, communications, and training.

QUALIFICATIONS:

BA/BS degree in Computer Science or Business Administration or related field preferred. 5+ years Business Process Design / Analysis experience. IIBA or other business analysis certification / knowledge desired. Required knowledge of business process development methods. Required knowledge of IS SDLC processes and procedures. Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile software / project processes. Retail Industry experience desired. Must be proficient in leading People, Process, Technology change. Must demonstrate proficiency in business analysis discipline and software tools required to execute the responsibilities of the position. Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal relations skills required. Communicates effectively at all levels of the organization and with external vendors.
