BUSINESS ANALYSTHouston, TX AND Golden Pass Project Site - Sabine Pass, TXDuration: 1 year +Travel: 10-40%Job Description: This role is BA III with some project leadership experience but not a PMP type resource The resource will be working on various IT application requests, including contagion tracking and Integrations Work will be on-site at GPX Site Sabine Pass 1-2 weeks per month for the first 2-3 months and 1 week every 6-8 weeks in subsequent months.This is an exciting and fulfilling contract opportunity with EPC Information Technology Team. We are seeking a Business Analyst III who is highly motivated and eager to contribute and learn. This role will collaborate with internal business partners to effectively review, analyze, and evaluate business needs to help determine solutions that support overall business strategies. This position will be primarily focused on developing business intelligence reporting tools for a major EPC project, Golden Pass LNG.What will you be doing as a Business Analyst III?

  • Coordinate enterprise-level solution enhancements and employ a consulting services approach to encourage users to adopt best practices when working within business solutions.
  • Gather and document business requirements and translate them into technical specifications in coordination with internal business units, vendors, clients, and other solution stakeholders.
  • Support delivery of interoperability requirements as defined in project IT execution plans.
  • Leverage business analysis methodologies to evaluate and document business processes.
  • Map and analyze highly complex end-to-end business workflows and data flows.
  • Recommend and deliver new solutions or enhancements based on an assessment of business requirements in alignment with overall business and technology strategy.
  • Develop and execute quality assurance test plans and document results.
  • Identify, research, and resolve issues proactively; Communicate updates to business users.
  • Monitor results and adoption while supporting delivered solutions through the transition from implementation to business operation.
  • Assist in designing and automating control reports and tools.
  • Identify, pull, analyze, and summarize large amounts of data.
  • Work across organizational hierarchies and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Act as the liaison between a business unit and a technical team, when needed.
  • Work collaboratively with other analysts for knowledge sharing and transparency.
  • Maintain a general understanding of company business groups, service lines, and departments.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of Enterprise Services' methodologies and technologies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What will you need?
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Mathematics, or other STEM) with a focus on operations management, organizational development, business management, performance enhancement, business analytics, or similar.
  • Five (5) + years of business analysis or relevant work experience.
  • Experience working with Business Intelligence reporting tools including PowerBI, Tableau, and having some familiarity with DAX or other native BI query language.
  • Experience or portfolio of concise automated reports aggregating a lot of data from disparate sources into succinct and actionable insights.
  • Advanced understanding of technology, systems, and business analysis methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of agile methodologies, scrum, or Azure DevOps techniques.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral communication, presentation, and writing skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Adept at interpreting complex data and documents with attention to detail and accuracy.
What is an added plus?
  • Business Analyst certification from an accredited university or recognized industry entity.
  • Knowledge of Engineering/ Procurement/ Construction (EPC) lifecycle, data management, database technologies, data modeling and presentation, project data lifecycles, and domains.
  • Broad working knowledge of Advanced Work Packaging as it relates to an EPC project.
  • Project Management or Agile certification.
What can you expect the physical demands to be?
  • The employee will be required to communicate in person or via telephone, email, or other digital communication; Visual acuity (corrected or uncorrected) must allow clear visibility from a distance of 20 inches or less; use of arm/hand steadiness, manual dexterity, finger dexterity, multi limb coordination, oral expression, and comprehension. May be required to lift, carry, and move objects safely.
What travel can you expect?
  • Light domestic travel to the GPX project site in Sabine Pass, Texas is required for the contractor to work with participants at the project site office location.
  • For the first 2-3 months of the contract, the successful candidate will be required to travel to the project site 1-2 weeks per month.
  • Once certain objectives are achieved, the successful candidate can transition to a minimum of 1 week at the project site every 6-8 weeks.
  • Once rapport is established and if project needs allow, this position could transition to a remote position.
  • Travel expenses (lodging, meals, mileage) will be reimbursed per the company travel policy.
  • Robust COVID controls and protocols are in place at the project site.
